How can you rent a safe deposit box?

A safe deposit box may be rented by any citizen of Serbia  who is of age, as well as a foreign physical entity. They need to submit an identification document.

To rent a safe deposit box, a client, a legal or physical entity, has to sign the Safe Deposit Box Rental Agreement, upon which the Bank issues an identification card to the client as the evidence for using the safe.

The client can authorize some other person to access the safe deposit box.

You need to decide about the safe deposit box size and the rental period.

The safe deposit box can be accessed during the opening hours of the bank. It can be opened only by the synchronized use of two keys, whereas the Bank retains one key and the other remains with the customer. It is important to note that the Bank’s officer cannot access your safe deposit box with only one key and that no one else, except for you, can open your safe deposit box. If the key is lost or destroyed, the client is obliged to notify the Bank immediately. Then the lock is replaced in the presence of the client.

The Bank guarantees the safe deposit boxes inviolability, as it is impossible for any third person to open or damage the safe. Only the client or the person that the client has authorized can access the safe deposit box.

You must not deposit the following:

• any inflammable or explosive objects or any objects that can decay or fall apart,
• any objects that can endanger the safety of the Bank,
• any objects that can endanger the safety of other safe deposit boxes,
• weapons.

The client prepays the rental fee for the agreed time period. The monthly rental prices are stipulated in the Tariff Fees and Commissions and they depend on the safe deposit box size.

Rental agreement expiry

The client is obliged to empty the safe deposit box and return it and the key in proper condition, on the day of agreement expiry at the latest. If the client returns the key after the agreed term, he is obliged to pay rental fee for using the safe deposit box after the expiry of rental agreement.
