55 YERAS OF SUCCESSFUL WORK AND EXISTENCE

On Friday, September 23, 2011 Čačanska banka celebrated the 55th anniversary of its continuous operations and existence. Dragan Jovanović, president of the Executive Board, addressed the attendees, including a large number of the Bank's customers, representatives of the media, business partners and colleagues and highlighted the milestones in the Bank's development, operating results and its plans for the forthcoming period.

“The Bank's market share in the most important operating segments has been growing year after year. In the first half of 2011 the Bank's equity increased by 23.12% amounting to 4,975 million dinars, while the Bank's share in total assets of the banking sector is 1.15%. Of 33 banks in Serbia, Čačanska banka takes the 21st place regarding total loans accounting for the market share of 1.25%, while regarding profit in the first 6 months of 2011 it takes the 19th place with 73,712 thousand dinars”, said Dragan Jovanović, president of the Executive Board.

"SAVE ENERGY - INVEST IN THE FUTURE"

Owing to the needs of people today and their interest in ecological issues, Čačanska banka devoted a portion of its activities to a credit line for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. In the beginning of June 2011 the Bank signed a Facility Agreement with the Green for Growth Fund. Mr. Lloyd Stevens, director of Finance in Motion, directly responsible for managing GGF said:

"GGF is very pleased to work with Cacanska Banka, it's first partner in Serbia, to raise market awareness of the benefits, both economic and environmental, of energy efficiency and renewable energy.  GGF is providing funding to support the bank's awareness campaign, as well as to refinance the bank's portfolio of energy efficient loans.  GGF recognizes that Cacanska is already a leader in this market, and is happy to team up with the bank to bring its success to the next level."

Guided by a principle that success may not be valued only through the results made, but also through responsible attitude to communities in which it operates, the Bank promoted a new campaign “Save energy – invest in the future” which is implemented in cooperation with the Green for Growth Fund (GGF). The objective of the campaign is to contribute to education of citizens regarding the efficient usage of energy and possible manners of energy saving, which would also result in the decrease of costs arising from energy over-consumption.

"THE SEEDS OF SUCCESS" FOR THE BEST STUDENTS

Čačanska banka has, for the sixth time in a row, awarded the students with the best results in their education. Owing to their own success, this year the reward was granted to: Marjana Šolajić, the best pupil of the final year of Čačak Grammar School; Milutin Ješić from Užice, the best student of the Economic Faculty in Belgrade in the Course for Financing, Banking and Insurance who enrolled in 2007 / 2008 and had the average grade 10.00; and Ana Dragutinovic, in the Course of Management, he best student from Čačak of the Economic Faculty in Belgrade with the average grade 9.41. The Grammar School pupil was rewarded with 300 euros, while the most successful students were granted 500 euros each.

Čačanska banka established the reward “The Seeds of Success” five years ago to be traditionally granted at its anniversary. This acknowledgement is a confirmation and reward to young people for their efforts, work and acquired knowledge in their education so far.
